Welcome to the home page for the 36th Australian Winter School, to be held  from 9th to 16th July 2011 by the Hunter Valley Branch in beautiful Nelson Bay, just north of Newcastle in New South Wales. Nelson Bay is part of the blue water wonderland of Port Stephens which has 98,000 hectares of marine park with pristine and unspoilt waterways home to a resident population of bottlenose dolphins. The tranquil waters of the Bay contrast with the crashing surf of the spectacular beaches and both have the picturesque hinterland of untouched bush.
